Notes:

There is a problem in March with a clash with the British Long Course Championships/Trials. This means that effectively what used to be an 8 week Championship period, now shortened to 6 weeks has become 4 due to school holidays.

After much deliberation and consultation we have left the Wilts championship/Youth dates because;

ASA reasoning in that the GB event should take precedent over County Championships for those swimmers qualified, makes them unlikely to give permission to move outside the County period.

The first 2 weekends are either side of Half term with many swimmers already committed to school trips

Bookings have already been made at the Link, with the day of 19^th not available.

Reversing Youth and BagCats still causes a clash on the 12^th and would cause a problem with swim times being used as entries for Regional Championships. Also giving only a 4 week training cycle for the swimmers between the 2 events.

In view of the few numbers concerned, we recommend keeping the dates listed as they will serve the needs of the 95+ % of the County swimmers who are not affected.
